Exploit allows NPC’s to be killed
“Woe is me! I can’t train my skills in Owl’s Head, for several of the NPC’s are all dead.” That is what hundreds of visitors to Owl’s Head have been saying since yesterday evening when some unnamed individual killed many of the NPC’s, including most people’s favorite skill trainer, Mervyn. His carcass has been festering in the streets for over 10 hours without a healer able to resurrect him. Our good friends at Portalarium have issued a “small series of bans … for players knowingly exploiting the game.” This ban comes the day after persistence and it speaks volumes. Deathbringer saves us!
It has been reported by Dippybird that the “Deathbringer,” Oneandonly, has saved the world from his malevolent creation. At the 11th hour, the Deathbringer was able to find and squash several game stopping bugs. The Deathbringer was helped by Unity, who opened themselves up to him, and gave him access to their source code. The Deathbringer dove into the entrails of Unity and was able to pull out and isolate several game stoppers in their code that was causing Shroud to crash. One week until final wipe and the QA server is up. With 7 days until final wipe, it is my expectation that the normal server will be damned near vacant and initial impressions are showing this to be true.
